The tavern is probably going to be the host site for the next couple of meetups just to avoid the issue of having to pick a new place every month. Well I don't really know the thought process actually but that seems logical. Ask Duane cause he is "in charge" of it now if you want a real answer.

I did had a good time last night, and it was great to see some of the bloggers that I haven't seen for several months. In attendance was wifey, Seth, James, Rob, Josh, and Ken. In addition to this rowdy bunch was also another equally rowdy bunch in the crow's nest at the tavern. The World Can't Wait! (Drive Out The Bush Regime) also has their WEEKLY meetings there (or at least the Georgia chapter does). This was a source of entertainment for all of us to say the least and inspired this month's question on the napkin. I think we as a group could reform ourselves into a solid unit of meetup crashers. Or at least a play good game of "Activist Bingo".

The meetup ended early due to the potential nasty winter weather. The tab was kept under $150. And the waitresses drew straws to see who was going to wait on the activists. Just classic sitcom material.

A very interesting weekend

Well part of this weekend was spent disc golfing (what a shock I am sure). I went to Redan Park for the rebirth of 2nd Saturday Tourney for the new year. Just a little side action singles tourney for the locals. There were about 20 disc golfers in all (3 AMs including myself and the rest Pros) and we had great weather. I had a good game and came in second (of three mind you) and won my entry fee back. I also beat Drew as I had challenged him for his Bag Tag. I am now the #8 AM in Georgia! Well more like the 8th rank amateur playing the the Bag Tag Challenge.

After disc golf was the Monster Jam at the Dome. It had been a couple years since I went to see some monster trucks crush some cars and flip over. I think I was going to school at TECH at the time. I really went to see the best man from my wedding for I haven't seen him since my wedding. He had moved to Maryland and now to Kentucky since then. I should have taken a camera cause it was a great time and there were many characters to be seen. The group I was with was probably the biggest characters of all. A few are diehard Chevy fans and a few other are Ford fans. The the smack talking begin!

Sunday as Hakeber explained was spent in the closet at the house. Hakeber made the design (cause she did go to school for fours years to do just that) and I was the manual labor. I didn't go to school for fours years for that. She did help once in while with manual labor part though. It all went pretty smoothly except that the wall bows out a little in the center (old houses do that) and it made things interesting. I was amazed how quickly things came together and it really does look good. ClosetMaid really does make it pretty easy to do. I will definitely will be looking to them in the future for further storage options at the house.

Jaff Dauler Linked Me!

Yeah you heard right. Jeff Dauler gave me a link back on his site. Let's just say I was very surprised. Not only did not expect the link back but it was because my site was sending him some traffic that he noticed. Now I usually listen to The Bert Show in mornings because most other morning radio shows just plain don't cut it anymore for me. I want to be entertained on my way into work and Jeff is always there for a good laugh or three. The last morning radio show that I can remember I used to listen to was 99X with Barnes, Leslie, and Jimmy. Yeah...that was a while back.

So thanks Jeff for the link man. You freakin' rule!

A rebuttal

Forget the $600 iPhone, I STILL want the Wii!
