Why do kids throw rocks anyways....

I threw rocks as a child. In fact it almost seems inherit for most little boys to throw rocks. In the early stages of development a kid will pick up a rock and throw it as far as he can. Of course lacking any real hand-eye coordination the rock will usually land a few feet away. Of course good parents seeing this activity will stamp it out quickly and teach their children it is not alright to throw rocks. This is among many other early teachings like it is not alright to hit girls and that you shouldn't eat paint chips.

Well unfortunate for me I came across another individual who didn't learn that throwing rocks at moving vehicles is not alright. While going to the Stevenson BBQ yesterday a rock was throw at my truck denting and chipping the side. I should have stopped right then but I was getting a call from friend at the time and trying to fish the phone from my pocket. Also Hakeber had a super hot bowl of Mac'n'Cheese on her lap so quickly stopping was out of the question.

Long story short I called the cops. The cop came and I pointed him to the house that I thought the rock originated from. I told him I saw a teenager emerge from the bushes sometime after the rock was thrown. Later that evening the father of the house came over to give his son an alibi. Clearly he was lying cause the the cop arrived when the father was leaving and some kid answered the door. Sense when did parents start believing their children and not trusting their neighbors? Needless to say I am still pissed about this issue. Second vehicle hit by a thrown rock will do that to you.

I only post on even numbered days

So I went to my first neighborhood association meeting last night. Last month, while we were on our honeymoon, they were suppose to elect new officers. Well they pushed that off for a month I guess due to low turnout and had the elections last night. Most of the positions were pretty much set and most people were voted in by acclimation. All except for the newly created Parliamentarian office that was slated for our next door neighbor to run for.

Well I did a bad thing and I spoke up at the meeting actually using some Robert's Rules lingo. That did it for me. When it came time for nominations for the new office I was voted in by the very person that was slated for the office to begin with. So a quick speech and an even quicker secret ballot and I am the newly elected Parliamentarian of the Marion Park Neighborhood Association.

Now hopefully I can avoid setting up the website that they talked about in the meeting as well.

liftlift.tv

Well liftlift.tv was launched the other day by a couple folks that I know IRL. Yes I am one of those friends that Bobafred talks about in his clip. Well since they don't know how to set permission levels on folders I was able to see all the videos for this week. I must say I am pretty excited about where they might be going with this venture. The intro video kinda scared me with the whole jiggly thing, but the Bobafred clip was just classic. So keep it up guys and don't pull any punches.

And now for something completely different...Bendito Machine

"No Muff Too Tuff"

I saw this phrase on the back of a Ford Expedition on the way to work this morning. The best part...it was being driven by a Black female. She was wearing scrubs so I hope that she was an OB/GYN or something similar.
