First Day At The New Job

Sometimes my iPod freaks me out. iTunes does it once in a blue moon, but the iPod tends to be hooked up with the cosmos sometimes. Here is in the exact order what the iPod played this morning on the way to my first day at my new job (I kid you not!):

1. The Blues Brothers - Peter Gunn Theme

Alright so this really isn't too strange. Starting a new job so I am kinda like a spy in a foreign land. In any event it is pretty nice song to hear right as you start up you car and about to head out.

2. Jamiroquai - Manifest Destiny

At this point I kinda knew what the iPod was trying to pull. The title of the song has more really to do with what was going on than the song itself.

3. Snoop Dogg - Signs

This is when I start to get freaked out. I don't need to have Justin Timberlake and Charlie Wilson singing hooks to me to figure out what is going on. "Are you telling me this is a sign?" Enough said.

4. Robbie Williams - Millennium

At this point I actually started talking to my iPod. "We’ve got stars directing our fate" Alright I get it now!

5. Seal - Violet

Really has to do more with the lyrics on this one. "I understand / You need a change / The world will elevate you world will elevate you / and when you make that change the world will elevate you" At almost the exact end of the song did I arrive at work.

I arrived early to work and decided to take a minute and reflect on what the iPod had told me. After that minute I popped in the Thundercats DVD and enjoy an episode while I ate my breakfast in my truck. It was all too freaky.

I am sorry, but poison oak on the vajajay is just too funny. Kudos to O'Malley for narrating this past episode.

I got a job!

I got a job (and in every sense of the word too)! I will be working for Specialty Engraving as an artist. So I am going out to Spondivits and possibly Mary's to celebrate. Text me if you want to join in!

Site updates continue

Alright...I am finally getting off my ass and putting all the old entries from when I first started this site back on here. Now this is a warning, I did like to link to a lot of porn back in the day. There isn't anything visible when you pull up the archives and it doesn't make the site itself not work safe...just be cautious when clicking a link from way back in the day. Of course a lot of major companies and the government block my site just because of that. Although I would like to think I have turned a corner when it comes to linking to copious amount of porn, I don't think I will be able to every get that stigma off my site. I should be done with all the archives tomorrow (I hope).

Added Recent Tracks

So I converted the "Rockin The iPod" section of the site to show a feed of the 10 most recent tracks that I have played on my iTunes. "But P'body, shouldn't you rename it 'Rockin The iTunes' cause it pulls from there?" I could but I like the name so it is gonna stick. So as long as I am playing something it will show up. Unfortunately I think if I am not playing anything it will show up empty. I used Feedburner to grab the RSS feed from Last.fm. It works and it was fairly painless to setup. I will probably keep it until something else comes along that I like better. If you haven't sign-up for Last.fm you really should.

Here are the top artists I played last week:

Pay No Attention

I am making some small changes to the site. So if you see things are out of place, things don't load, or it just looks all kinds of weird...pay no attention. It will all be fixed in time.

Chibi-Robo and Cocktails

Hakeber and I are now addicted to a new video game by the name of Chibi-Robo for Gamecube. The basic idea is that you are a small little robot whose job it is to make people happy. This can be accomplished by cleaning up spots on the floor with a toothbrush, growing flowers for people, or helping people find things they misplaced. If that wasn't enough, the toys of the house move and talk when people aren't around and they ask you to do things as well. It all might seem cheesy but it a really fun game and very addictive.

So last night was the monthly gathering of APWBWGTTD at the Graveyard Tavern. Goodtimes were held by all. I was drinking straight Jack on the rocks the whole time there. The place was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be. The website pictures really don't do it justice at all. Well everyone was gathered around a long table with chairs packed close together. No one better have any personal space issues when they go there in a large group. I was impressed to see a lot of large groups there on a Friday night. I got to meet Kinsi, Kermit_Is, and PT very briefly. They seemed like good peoples.

Around the witching hour we decided to change venues and stumbled down to Mary's to continue the drinking binge. I switched it up to whiskey sours at that point. Hakeber finally showed up then from her pleasure party (that is another story). She also brought one my line sisters from college, Alicia, that I haven't seen in a long time. I left and drove by Krystal for a little way after midnight snack (Spicy Chiks freaking rock my socks off). Watched some Best Week Ever and went to bed. It was all just goodtimes. We seriously need to do that more often.

High School Friend Dies

I was just informed by another that one of my classmates from my old high school just died from falling out of his high-rise apartment here in Buckhead. Here is the article that was sent to me. I knew Chris Norris from high school best. We both went to Tech together and played in the band together. After college we really didn't speak much anymore. One thing I do know was that he was a good person. My thoughts will be with his family and friends right now.

Heidi better fly straight

Flygirl HeidiIt has been a long while since I have taken pictures of the new plastic that I have gotten. Take a look at the disc golf set. This is a pic of the new putter I just got from GottaGoGottaThrow.com. I figured I needed a little inspiration while I am putting from 30+ feet out. I mean hell...since I am already talk to my discs before I throw it might as well have a cartoon chick on one of them. Probably will head out tomorrow to a park and get her all dirty.

Shit Yeah!

That's what Hakeber said when I asked if she like her Valentine's Day. Maybe it was the half bottle of wine in her that was talking but I think yesterday was good as well. Hakeber got me a $25 iTunes Gift Card which I am sure I will use in the next couple of days to get some of those obscure 80's songs I just don't have yet. My present to her was that I made dinner. She is pretty easy to please sometimes. I grilled some strip steaks that were marinating most of the day (in my special blend), sauteed some mushrooms to put on top, wild rice, spinach, and corn bread. Everything turned out great and I wish I took a picture of it.

The weekend continues...

So yesterday I braved the cold, wet, windy weather to play in the 2006 Atlanta Ice Bowl a charity disc golf tournament at Wills Park in Alpharetta. About 30 players showed up and a lot of money was raised for the Red Cross. I played a good first round and then when the second round came around I just couldn't settle into a rhythm like before. After two rounds I ended up with a total score of 134. Andrew on the other hand had a great game and came in 4th among the amateur division. I came home and I could barely feel my feet cause my shoes and socks were just soaking wet. Combine that with the cold and windy conditions and it was pretty bad. Next time I will know better to play in waterproof boots. All in all it was a great event for charity and a lot of people (including me) had a lot of fun. Plus a got a shirt out of the whole deal too.

Today me and Hakeber are off to Glen-Ella for a little get away and to talk to the wedding coordinator. We have invited my parents up there to have dinner and check the place out. I am sure they are going to like it. I must say it will be nice to get out of the city for a day. Maybe this time I can wear appropriate footwear. Hope everyone else enjoys the rest of the weekend as well.

I would rather not talk about the outcome. Let's just say that selling 5k worth of stock last year was not the best idea.

Movie IQ?

That's right people....another wacky IQ quiz. This time it is movies though. I got 22 out of 30 (proof in the pic above) and it was pretty hard. Let's see how the rest of you fair...(and btw the ones I didn't get: 8, 9, 13, 18, 22, 23, 24, 26)

Post-Superbowl Fridge

Post-Superbowl FridgeYesterday was a complete blur and it wasn't cause I was blitzed for half the evening. Hakeber and I got up around 8am and were on our feet from then on. This is not rant in any sense of the word cause we loved hosting the party. I think we just wished we could have enjoyed it more. And maybe tasted some of the food that we prepared for people. I guess everything tasted good cause there was really nothing left by the end of the evening. Thanks Ian and Betsy for bringing the deviled eggs...looks like they were a hit too. My apologizes to Drew for not having a more gluten-free menu or having diet drinks. I really do hope that everyone liked the food though. I really didn't realize how much coke products our friends drink (cause I really don't drink them). I bought one bottle of Coke but I think people brought more and now of course I have coke products in my fridge now. Time for some Sprite and Jager.

Not really. It is gonna be a day or so before I drink heavy again. Probably Wednesday. I drank one Miller Lite and then five Red Bull/Vodka drinks. That's right...you read it correctly...FIVE. When I want to get shit-faced drunk and have heart palpitations I reach for nothing else. Seriously though...it gets you messed up. It took me about two hours to get to sleep after getting into bed. I was tired and twitching. Anyways thanks to all those who showed up cause it was truly goodtimes. One person passed out and no spilled drinks!

Superbowl Fridge

Superbowl FridgeAlright peoples...here is my refrigerator packed full of Superbowl goodies. I have labeled just about everything in there. I must say I impressed myself by being able to fit everything in there, and who knew that 36 bottled adult beverages would still provide enough room on the side for two rows of regular beverages. And check out all that meat! It looks like we are just gonna be eating meat and drinking beer the whole night but that couldn't be further from the truth. We also have several handles of liquor! Some of the treats will be healthy I think. Have to ask Hakeber really about that cause I am gonna be grillmaster for Sunday. I am sure those three boxes of frozen spinach will be used for something. My guess is that she will probably be buying more fresh veggies on Saturday or something. Don't be afraid you cheese lovers out there...that bottom left drawer is packed full that wonderful stuff.

I do encourage all you out there that are throwing a Superbowl party and that have a Flickr account (which I realize is a really small demographic) to do the same and post about it for all to see.

Rock On General Lee

General Beauregard Lee (Georgia's own groundhog) has failed to see his shadow and predicted an early spring. Now this really isn't big news execpt for the fact that he has had a 93% success rate in his 15-year career (says his owner). His partner on the other side of the Mason-Dixon line however predicts six more week of winter. Let's see who right once again shall we?
