So this was an action packed weekend for me. Saturday was Georgia Tech's Homecoming versus Climpsun and it couldn't have been a more perfect day for football. After getting much flack from certain individuals last year that Hakeber and I weren't in the Alumni Band we decided to do it once again. This time I was prepared and was packing a flask (full of apple juice, yeah that's the ticket). Rehearsal started at 11am so we had some tailgating time before we had to be there. After rehearsal? More tailgating and eventually the game. Tech won (which surprised the hell out of me) and the RATs got to lose their caps. Grabbed some Wendy's on the way home (the first real meal I had all day) and fell asleep.
Sunday was disc golf with the crew. I changed the started time and the location for this weeks venture and the location worked out nicely. The time did not work out apparently. I moved the time for the normal 11am start time to 1pm for those who might be coming from church. One of the people I thought might benefit from the changed start time didn't show up and eventually we had people dropping off due to other commitments that were scheduled for later in the day. I know the last thing isn't my fault but I shouldn't expect that everyone wants a full day for disc golf when they only want to play 3 hours worth. Sometimes I could play another round but I don't say anything because I can see some people want to get home and do other things.
Yesterday was Halloween of course and the apartment was decorated up to look like no one was home and void of candy. The first year we moved into the apartment it was a different story. We had a pumpkin and lights on and tons of candy. No trick-or-treaters though. I guess we just gave up after that. Anyways the money saved on a pumpkin can go toward a bigger Xmas tree. Word on the street this year was that we actually had a handful of kiddies in the neighborhood. But Hakeber and I decided to go and visit the Stevensons in East Point. On the way we found all the lost trick-or-treaters in their neighborhood. I seriously had to drive under 5 mph to avoid kids darting out from behind vehicles. We got to their house and I mixed myself a strong drink (seeing that many kids can do that to me) and decided to watch Saw (of which I have never seen). I love horror/triller movies (especially ones about zombies/undead) but Hakeber doesn't. So this means I usually don't see them anymore. But last night I had my way and the movie was pretty good. It was midnight before we left their place and made our way back home.
I am still a little tired from it all. A good tired though.
