HDTV

Alright...since getting the new TV and now adding HDTV, I like watching ESPN more now. I liked to watch Sportscenter when I would surf by the channel but I never actually made an effort to plan my day to watch it. You haven't experienced ESPN until you hear it in 5.1 Surround Sound. Did I mention it is widescreen? I know I will be watching much more TV because of it.

Dave FM (Reprise)

Looks like the topic I started a while back on Dave FM has been getting a little heat. In fact it has moved me up in the Google ranking because of it. I enjoy the discussion that has taken place over the past few weeks and hope it will continue further. I would like to add a couple things to the discussion though. I do agree that with having no DJ's it is very difficult and even near impossible to find out a song you hear on that station. With no one there to tell you who just sang the song you liked...you are at a total loss. And attempting to sing the song later to friend would prove worthless and for some people out there embarrassing.

This can be solved by having a DJ there to tell you what song was just played or by having it displayed on the screen of your radio. For those of you who are fortunate to have an aftermarket radio that is equiped to handle text over air waves thanks to some station that are part of Infinity Broadcasting you will notice that the radio station has been playing around with its marquee. Like another rock station (96Rock), they have the ablitiy to display the artist and title of every song being played if they want to. If they go this route, would a DJ even be needed at all I ask.

The week in review:

- Charley was hot on my trail
- I sure did miss Hakeber while I was gone
-
- I just bought a new TV
- This means my old TV will be sold for dirt cheap (details later)
- No internet access on a business trip sucks monkey nuts
- No music trivia makes Barry a dull boy
- I had to educate everyone I met on how much Senior Level Delta pilots actually make
- West Palm Beach is full of old people, not young hotties
- I think Kozmo wanted an airport present when I came home

Moose Coin!

Moose Coin! Yeah, I have to get one of these coins. I think I like it so much cause it reminds me of Bullwinkle Moose. Which also reminds me that I need to go and get the first season of Bullwinkle and Friends. In case you haven't figured out already...I am big fan of those kind of cartoons. Hell I about had a field day when Hakeber and I went to Universal Studios: Islands of Adventure. They have a whole section for them there. Needless to say I was happy to hear they were coming out with them on DVD.

I am also updating cause Hakeber got on to me at lunch time for no doing so earlier. I guess I am some peoples form of entertainment in the morning hours. I guess it is never too late. So I am in the market for a plasma TV now. It all started when Hakeber bought a new home entertainment center. Now it just looks strange having a huge normal tv on there. So if there are any suggestions of there as far as one let me have them.
