Rough couple of days will only get worse...

I had a good night Tuesday. Music Trivia was fun with the addition of Danielspice. He was a lot of help for most of the game. Sadly there were no Spice Girls question for him to sink his teeth into. And despite all the "Westside Gang Signs" he kept throwing up the whole evening...he was a real fun guy to hang out with. I think I saw some chemistry between him and Hakeber. Why are all the gay men out there attracted to my girlfriend?

I had a rough day at work yesterday. Everyone just forgot to bring their thinking caps. People that I have been retraining all of a sudden forgot everything that I taught them. Two new hires aren't helping the situation. I believe my service manager is going to get a demotion today. Long story short....I will soon be driver of the NTB short bus. God help us all.

I just can't let go.

I went into work today on my off day. Yes, my only single day off from work this week and I went in to do more work. I just look and see a whole bunch of stuff that needs to be done and taken care of. The sad part is that I know I can't really trust the other manager to get those things done. It is really that sad. He has been a "service manager" for like 4 months or so and he can't get anyone to do anything. Maybe he missed out on the whole manager part of his title. You got to make the people work for you.

Today I went in and cleaned up a few things. Moved about 300 tires or so. Threw away some old pallets that were sitting in the corner. I am having a meeting this Sunday to just basically yell at some people. Well it won't be that bad but things are gonna change. I also think that I broke my thumb moving so much stuff by myself. I am gonna drink myself silly tonight at trivia.

GAC Losers

So the results to Get-A-Clue were finally posted the other day. I am proud to announce that my team did not lose or win. We actually came in third place. Let me explain in further detail. The the first place team is the loser because they have to plan the game for next year. This makes the second place team the winner of the game. The prize for third place? Absolutely nothing which is good. We also get the satisfaction of finishing the game which as you can see took a lot of time and many other teams did not even do that. On the road for 20 hours was insane. And I did all the driving.

Dave FM

There is a new station in town and its name is 92.9 Dave FM. That is right...Z93 is no longer. Now I use to listen to Z93 every once in a while but this new station rocks. I guess after a few bad quarters of ratings they decided to make a huge change. I have been listening to it non stop since. Everyone should definitely give it a quick once over. They do play an interesting selection though. When I was on my lunch break today I heard them play a Police song, then a Dave Matthews Band song, and then finally an old Aerosmith song before I got back to work. I say just give it the once over.

And the sad thing is that I have nothing...

Comments are back bitch!

Yeah I finally got around to installing MT-Blacklist. Let me say that modifcation totally kicks ass (thanks Megan for the reminder of it). I just had this thought that it was going to require a lot of work to install and run. The only thing that acutally took some time was the actually deletion of spam comments and the rebuilding of each page. It was because there was like over 8000 comments at one time. So I am glad that the site is back to normal.

Comcast called today to say they were going to shut off my cable if they didn't get a payment. That confused me cause I have it set up on a recurring payment on a credit card. So I called and sure enough they intended to shut it off tomorrow. I have had an outstanding balance for like 2-3 months. Meanwhile they never told me that they stopped taking payments from my card. To top it all off I also got a call from another person at Comcast asking me to switch to another cable package because they would no longer be offering the one I am on now. Just gotta love the different departments that don't talk to each other in a huge corporation.

And the comments keep pouring in...

Yeah...I have yet to install a comment spam blocker. I will eventually but I just have no time. I just paid on my bills for this month in a manner of an hour. I must say Paypal is good for at least one thing. No charge to send payments to my credit cards and such. Can you believe that Wachovia wants to charge me for that kind of service. I am looking forward to a day off from work that is for sure. I still don't know what I am going to do with myself. Well hopefully I will have more to say later...right now I need to clean my room as well as fire a few people from work. I think I am gonna go with the Donald style of termination. Yeah, I am evil.

Spam Comments Suck

You guys totally suck. I have like 269 IP addresses now banned but I still was slammed by 2000+ comments today alone. Therefore comments have been taken off the site until further notice. Have a nice day...

A day off to reconsider

Well maybe that slap in the face last week wasn't such a bad deal. I was offered another store (of which I should not be talking about) which is the same distance away and less money. Because it is not a train wreck like the other, I get less money for the stress involved. So today on my day off I will be traveling around thinking about my choices. I might actually end up taking the offer I turned down last week.

Also, congrats to Lisa and Davey who are now engaged.

Amorphophallus Titanum to bloom soon...

A slap in the face!

I was offered another management position at another location for a very small increase in pay. On top of that I am being told that the store is in shambles and will need lots of work to turn around. In this industry this is the best move. To take a store that is doing poor and make it shine makes you look like the golden child. So follow the logic... Someone who takes over a store that does a million dollars a year and improves to to make one and half will be up for promotion before a manager of another store that consistantly does two million a year. Some have made their mark in this company fixing other peoples messes while making more money than those who are consistant.

This is poor logic to me. It is like saying, "Who would win in a fight, Ali or Bruce Lee?" Using this company's logic it would be to go with Ali cause he is he hits hard and will only last a short time. Where am I going with this? No where cause I turned the opportunity down after I learned I was not going to be able to take my vacation, it would require even more of my life, and it is about a half hour drive from my apartment. Today I start my job search to become a teacher. I almost want to call back my boss and ask him to be demoted to just being a salesman.
