So today on my day off I got up early, dress out in my work clothes, and headed out to Turner Field with David for a Goodyear Ride and Drive. For those of you out there who are not familiar with this term, let me explain. A Ride and Drive is a promotional event where they invite a bunch of tire retailers to come and view their new and exciting product and see how it compares to another tire brand. Using the same car under similar driving conditions you are allowed to actually feel the difference between their product and usually one or more major brands. You also get to hear about all the technical data of the new tire along with its features and benefits that you are in turn suppose to relay to the customer so they might make a more educated purchase. The secret agenda is to impress you so much as to recommend their product to customers more often.
The product in question was the new Goodyear Assurance Line. We learned about how much better these products are than Michelin Symmetry and HydroEdge tires. Then we drove a new Pontiac Grand Prix each with the different brands. The difference of course was dramtic in wet and dry driving conditions among the brands. However we noticed that the Michelin tires on the vehicle were more worn than those car with Goodyear tires. This is important when it comes to wet and dry traction. Also it looked as though the Michelin tires were inflated more than those of the Goodyear tires on the confort ride test. Shenanigans I say!
In any event, David and I had a good time and we got some nice parting gifts as well. Check out some of the pics.

So I went to see Shrek 2 tonight after work. I think it was even better than the first one. Of course the real star of this new flick was Puss in Boots to the right played by Antonio Banderas. Not only was he funny, but they had him doing all the stereotypical cat quirks that cat owners know about. I about died laughing during some scenes. Although my opinion might be skewed based on the fact that both Hakeber and I were still a tipsy from the margaritas we had earlier. If you haven't seen it yet...it is a must. I actually wouldn't mind seeing it again.
Kanye West - The New Workout Plan
You just popped in the Kanye West
Get right for the summer workout tape
And ladies if you follow these instructions exactly
you might bear to pull you a rapper, a NBA player
Man, at least a dude wit' a car
So first of all we gon' work on the stomach
Nobody wants a little tight ass!
1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and get them sit ups right and
Tuck your tummy tight and do your crunches like this
Give head, stop breathe, get up, check your weave
Don't drop the blunt and disrespect the weed
Pick up your son and don't disrespect your seed
It's a party tonight and ooh she's so excited
Tell me who's invited: you, your friends and my dick
What's scary to me is Henny makes girls look like Halle Berry to me
So excuse me miss, I forgot your name
Thank you, God bless you, good night I came..
I came...
I came..
[Chorus]
It's been a week without me
and she feel weak without me
She wanna talk it out but
Ain't nothin' to talk about
'Lest, she talkin' about freakin' out

Work it out (Come on) [4x]
Work it out now
Maybe we can work it out (Come on, come on)
Oh girl your silhouette make me wanna light a cigarette

Ooh girl your breath is HARSH

But I still mess with a big girl if you ain't fit girl I'll hit girl

Four door do you know the difference between a 5, 6, 7, 8
All the mocha lattes you gotta do Pilates

Hustlers, gangstas, all us, ballas
[Chorus]

I want to see you work out for me
Woah yeah

Had a pretty relaxing weekend. Didn't have to work on Saturday at all and it was nice. Got to sleep past the 9am marker for once. Later that afternoon I responded to a call from GB. He was in town for the weekend due to a plane at his flight school going down. It was kinda weird hearing recall the events on the radio that lead to the plane crashing. He then invited us to his parent's house to eat ribs and play our new version of Cranium we got. Much fun was had by all. GB's sister is funny and look just like him (poor girl).
Sunday was work. In fact it was a Super Sunday Sale to be exact. Nothing special about it...in fact our company has super sales all the damn time. Most car companies only have them like once a quarter, we have sometimes two or three in a month. A tip to the wise...wait to the weekend for the best deal. If the place you are going to doesn't look like it is having a sale...just wait a couple weekends. Also the fastest service anywhere will be done right before the store has to close (please note I didn't say the best).
Tomorrow will be a day at the Spa, followed by a hair cut, then Sherman's birthday!
Late night and Hakeber is already asleep. She made Parmesan Chicken that was wonderful. She also makes a good stuffed version as well. Yesterday I spent the whole day shampooing the carpets (conditioner is better!) in the apartment. You walk around barefoot and it feels like the first day you walked into the place. If you have never done it before...I would definitely recommend it. It pulls all kinds of crazy dirt and stuff out of the carpet.
So I have yet to take a picture of Kozmo for the Inifinite Cat Project. My camera is running out of juice. But I did manage to squeeze off one round of Kozmo and Hakeber in sleepy time together. Enjoy! (cause I know she will hit me later).

You know you are getting tired when Phil Collins comes on your iTunes and you really think he rocks!
When I saw this flash movie I was taken back on several levels. The initial of course being that despite there are cowboy monkeys...it just seems to fit well. The second thought I had was how it reminded me of Stone Mountain Laser Show. Like the part at the end when the three men make that final "South Will Rise Again" charge to a whole bunch of fireworks. Rednecks everywhere just rejoice!
Seriously though...I want to go back this summer with a bunch of friends and check it out. Hell maybe even this month before it gets really hot (shown every Saturday this month). All I have to say is, "Who's coming with me!?!"
