Oh Yes! Wyoming
Despite being an ad for an American Express Card, this is quite entertaining.

Despite being an ad for an American Express Card, this is quite entertaining.
The front grille and air dam are off my truck right now. I am doing a little touch up painting to get rid some of bumps and scrapes that have occurred over the past few years. The truck just needs to be repainted all together but this will work for now. I got some slotted rotors and am currently looking for a good set of pads to put with them. Yeah...I am 18 years old again...
So I went to Tower Records today after class and went through the isles trying to find something new to listen too. Picked up the new Usher album and really the only good song is the one you hear on the radio, so I put it back. I decided to get the QEFTSG soundtrack as well as Jason Mraz's album. While I was going through all the selections I found the artist and album title to the left amusing. Just reminded me of someone else in a naughty way. (Trivia Team Name: Who the hell is Josh Kelley and why does my ass hurt?)
Just upgraded my website to the new and improved Movabletype 2.661. As with my typical Tuesday I think I am gonna read for class but end up cleaning house and playing on the computer. Soon I will leave to have lunch with Hakeber. After that is class and then music trivia. Tuesday has a set schedule. Well back to cleaning house now...
The Frugal Gay (aka. Gay Boy) was in town this weekend. It was nice to see him again after the long time he was in Phoenix doing his fly boy thing. I did realize that I had not done much of anything in Midtown since he had left. He was our connection to the whole gay world down there. So we had dinner at Ted's Saturday night and then went down for dinner at this parents house on Sunday.
His grandmother was visiting as well when we arrived at his house yesterday. Since my area involves the aging adult I was intrigued about her age and condition. This morning I couldn't help to draw and comparisons between her and my grandmother who passed away my freshman year in college. They were the same age.
I slept in pretty late this morning. I get to close the store today and probably won't have anytime to read for classes tomorrow. Sometimes I want to just quit my job so that I can actually get some study time in.
Have a nice flight back to Phoenix GB, thanks for gracing us with your presence this weekend. A magical piece of Midtown has left with you.
I am still trying to get over the fact I got my first speeding ticket the other day. When I got home I decided to wash the truck with 10 minutes of daylight left. Then Hakeber and I went to see Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. What a good movie. Kinda reminded me of Memento in some places. The trailers to the movie do it no justice. I really think this has to be one of Jim Carrey's best performances. Also saw the trailer for Garden State which also looks pretty good. I think I just like it though cause it is written and directed by Zach Braff who also stars in the movie. Maybe I just like Scrubs way too much. Well time to go to bed and get ready for the big sales weekend tomorrow.
Apparently that was the choice I had to make this morning. On the way to work I was propositioned by a black man inside of a minivan if I wanted to buy some "green stuff". He yelled this to me between vehicles on Peachtree Street. He even lifted up the bag full of marijuana for me to see. I declined because I have never touched the stuff.
On the way later to pick up a tire from another store I was stopped by the Gwinnett County Police for speeding. Doing 82 in a 55 zone. I am just going to pay the damn thing cause I know there is no way I can dispute this one. Here is a copy of the ticket for your viewing pleasure.
So the moral of the story is to always pick marijuana when offered. If I had done that this morning, I would have been a little later to work and probably wouldn't have been stopped later that day.

Is it just me or would The Darkness, Andrew W. K., and Tenacious D be the ultimate line up for a summer rock tour this summer?

It is Friday...time for Five questions...
1. What was the last song you heard?
Rusted Root - Laugh As The Sun
2. What were the last two movies you saw?
LOTR:ROTK and Matrix Revolutions (maybe) Haven't seen a movie in a long time.
3. What were the last three things you purchased?
New computer for my mom, new battery for the call phone, chapstick.
4. What four things do you need to do this weekend?
Taxes, clean my room, wish for better returns in the stock market for next week, and clean my truck.
5. Who are the last five people you talked to?
Hakeber, Clay, Tommy, Token, and Chris (at work).
Actually had a good day at work today. Tomorrow looks good as well as long as people's pay isn't messed up for a third time. I was also promised a bonus which looks really promising. I finally got around to cleaning my room a bit and catching up on emails and my checkbook. It is really sad because the past few weeks all I have been doing is work, school and sleep. Sometimes in that order. So bad was room a mess that my bamboo plant had started dying out of neglect. I need another day off to really catch up on everything else.
Went home today to get the truck worked on and spend the day with my mom. Well the first thing out of her mouth was something about how the computer was doing strange things last night and just quit on her. I took a look at it and saw that the hard drive was beginning to fail (had some bad clusters on it). So I just said...this is it, I am getting my parents a new computer today. So I got them a 310s series Gateway. Granted I am a Dell person, but I needed a computer right then and they had a good deal. Only thing missing was a floppy drive which we bought later in the day after we realized there wasn't one.
Got my truck back and the A/C is awesome. Also got the transmission serviced because I am hard on it. Too bad that the dealership broke the reclining handle on my seat. Gonna have to call them tomorrow and complain like a madman.
Yeah buddy...Spring Break has begun. I have tomorrow off and I am gonna spend it up at the GM dealership getting my A/C fixed. Yeah with the hot weekend I found the lack of cooling quite unpleasent. I guess that is what I get for not fixing it over the winter. The rest of the break? I am gonna be working my ass off so I can get some money for upcoming truck mods. Rock!
Two things before I am off to work:
Gots my new extended length cell phone battery in the mail yesterday. It was $39.97 off verizon's website. Which was two cents cheaper than the regular battery. What a deal.
Tonight is also the Guster concert at the Tabernacle! I just can't wait...
Just finished my midterm for developmental neuropsychology. I got a solid 'C' on that exam...maybe even a 'B'. If I get anything higher than that I really don't deserve it. Everyone in class was saying how they didn't feel prepared at all. It was nice not to feel alone in that regard. But of course many of them didn't have another midterm that day either.
Had lunch with Hakeber at Sonny's. It is a weekly thing now. It is funny cause the people that work there are starting to recognize us as we come in. I give it another month before they know us by our first names. I like the one we go to cause they don't have country music blasting over you like some other ones I have been to.
Jon Stewart is my source for news, dammit! I think people are tired of the news being so serious all the time. Going from talking about puppies at the humane society to then talking about the lastest shooting in downtown takes a toll on the emotions. A good satire is always in order.
Gonna go play some music trivia with TG tonight at Cheyenne Grill!
Oh yeah...and I found a little bit of propaganda next to the terminal I was at.
Well in about four hours I will start taking my first of two midterms today. Am I ready? Well for one of them I am, but the other is a shot in the dark. I fear the worst when it comes to this doctoral level class I am taking. He (the prof) made a comment saying that his tests are like taking the comps all over again from when you finish your masters degree. Since I am the only masters student in the class of all Ph.D. candidates...this makes me even more worried.
Of course the subject of the course doesn't help things either. I tend to deal with the end of the lifespan cognitive abilities and this is a course about the emergence of cognitive abilities and functions in humans. All we talk about is about infants and how things can go wrong at multiple stages of early development.
I am really just writing this to get in a writing mood today. The one thing I know is that when it comes down to it, I can write like a madman. Although I do tend to babble on sometimes about insignificant details, the overall picture is a good one that I can present. I am hoping that I might be able to create the same today. Needless to say I am not thrilled about having two midterms on the same day....wish me luck.
I meant to post this on leap day but the server was being upgraded at the time...anyways here is your prize John!
