All by myself

Well Hakeber when to a Bachelorette party and left me all home alone. So what did I decide to do while she was getting hosed down by a fireman....I went shopping. I went to Old Navy and pick up some Super Khakis and then went to DSW to pick up some Chuck Taylors and some other dressy shoes for real cheap. Then on my way back home I stopped by Jake's Ice Cream and pick up a pint of Peppa Choco Mint and returned home to eat that and watch Close Encounters. Hakeber came back mid-movie smelling of cheap after-shave and alcohol. It is anyone's guess what went on at that party.

I wish I was six again....

John Mayer - 83 [mp3]

I've these dreams I'm walking home
Home when it used to be
And everything is as it was
Frozen in front of me

Here I stand 6 feet small
romanticizing years ago
it's a bitter sweet feeling hearing
"Wrapped Around Your Finger" on the radio

And these days I wish I was 6 again
Oh make me a red cape
I wanna be Superman

Oh, if only my life was more like 1983
all these things would be more like they
were at the start of me
had it made in 83

Thinking bout my brother Ben
I miss him every day
He looks just like his brother John
But on an 18 month delay

Here I stand 6 feet small
and smiling cause I'm scared as hell
kind of like my life is like a sequel to a movie
where the actor's names have changed
oh well

Well these days
I wish I was 6 again
Oh make me a red cape
I wanna be Superman

Oh, if only my life was more like 1983
All these things would be
more like they were at the start of me

If my life was more like 1983
I'd plot a course to the
source of the purest little part of me

And most my memories
have escaped me
or confused themselves with dreams
if heaven's all we want it to be
send your prayers to me care of 1983

You can paint that house a rainbow of colors
rip out the floorboards
replace the shutters but that's my plastic in the dirt
whatever happened to my whatever happened to my
whatever happened to my lunchbox
when came the day that it got
thrown away and don't you think I should
have had some say in that decision

I Love The 80's

That is right....I said it. I love the 80's. Even though I was barely born in the 70s, I hardly remember anything from it. Maybe cause I was only in that decade for whole five months. This film has every 80s movie ending cliche in it...totally hilarious. But don't take my word for it.

And if that doesn't tickle your fancy....how about a Narcoleptic Dog!

Another Birthday?

I have to mention it before I forget....

Happy Birthday Lynn!!!11

July 11, 2003

No words to describe it...

...you just have to see it

It has been a good week...

I think it is time I start doing the Friday Five again...

1. Do you remember your first best friend? Who was it?
Of course I do, it was Clayton J. Smith.

2. Are you still in touch with this person?
Yep...I would even venture as to say we are more friends now than when we were growing up.

3. Do you have a current close friend?
I have several....Tommy, Dennis, Kenny G., and Hakeber of course!

4. How did you become friends with this person(s)?
Tommy I met sometime after I met Clay. We are were all high school buddies. Dennis came around sometime after I graduated high school. He was friends with Tommy. Just started hanging around a lot. Kenny I met while in college. He pledged the same organization I was in and we just got along. As far as Hakeber...well it is a constant dialogue of how we met.

5. Is there a friend from your past that you wish you were still in contact with? Why?
A few of my high school friends. It seemed that when we all graduated and entered college...no body wanted to spend the time to talk to one another again. There are too many to list.

Happy B-day to my Mom and Aunt

That is right folks, my poor mother after her birthday dinner at some chinese restaurant turned right around and had me the next day. But this post is not about me, it is about them. They officially became senior citizens today. It a scary thought that my parents are approaching that age. In about ten years they will be retired. I can't help to wonder where I will be in the next 5 or even 10 years. So I (with help from Dad) got Mom the entire Harry Potter series and some shampoo she wanted. My Aunt only wanted some speakers for her desk at work. The only I spent money on was the birthday cards. Pleasing my parents is so easy.

Technology Bad!!

Went to see T3 tonight with Hakeber and GB. I must say it was a pretty good film despite following in the footsteps of other anti-technology movies like the Matrix. It was cheesy at times, but that kind of James Bond type cheesiness that is kinda funny. Sheepish grin kinda funny I guess. I must say that Kristanna Loken played a good role. Had no clue she was about as old as I am. THen I guess it makes since that she could whip Arnold's ass being that she is half his age. Dang it, I just remembered I have to go and renew my driver's licence this year. Nothing like cutting it close.

Spreading myself thin

I get to work on birthday....isn't that fun! The good thing is that I get to open the store and leave around 5pm. That means I can at least have dinner or something that night. I got off work early today and I am off tomorrow....I tell you, you under estimate a single day off until you start working like 6 days a week. It is a hard knock life being assistant manager.

July 3, 2003

B-Day for myself

Two things I wanted to get when I became the new assistant manager to my store. A nice pen that people would always ask where I got it. I can't go a couple hours without a customer saying they want my pen, then I grab it back from them. The other of course has to be that infamous item from Office Space. That is right, the Red Swingline Stapler! I got one and no one better steal it or heads will roll. Of course you can get one too, but we all know there can be only one...

Sorry, I just couldn't wait to tell you. This is post #69. That is really all I wanted to say. If you wanted more, I guess take a look at the neverending soda!

Shopper's Guide to my B-Day

That's right foo....with a little over a week left to my birthday, I felt as though I should give ya'll a birthday shopper's guide so that there won't be an embarrassing gift giving. So just sit back and relax and become enlightened on what I want for my special day.

Birthday List:
1. Really anything from my Amazon.com wishlist (too bad they don't carry Ally McFeal)
2. Blue Flex-a-lite electric fan (make my truck cooler = make it faster)
3. Liquor (doesn't matter what it is)
4.
5. Brushed Aluminum Molded Dash Trim Kit (really anything that looks good)
6. Birthday Cards!!! (just ask Hakeber for my address so I don't know)
7. A stripper with three boobs (if you can find that, you are just the man)
8. Tommy to win his next Socom matchup (well it can't always be about me)
9. Scratch off tickets (I always win something on my birthday)
10. A Cat and/or Dog
