Happy Car Day! (part 2)

Well mark you calendars folks....Hakeber just got her first car....ever! It happened at 6pm at the Saturn of Decatur dealership. I am sure she would like to thank her friendly salesman, Bob and her financial advisor, George. Click below to see some pictures of the event.

Happy Car Day!

Before I posts pics of the Hakeber's new car, it is time to do another Friday Five...

1. What do you most want to be remembered for?
That not only did I live my life, that I enjoyed it at the same time.

2. What quotation best fits your outlook on life?
"My object in living is to unite, My avocation and my vocation..." by Robert Frost

3. What single achievement are you most proud of in the past year?
Getting into grad school. I had appiled to many different programs in many different states and I wasn't sure if I was going to get in. Finally the last letter came from GSU and I was accepted; it was a nice feeling.

4. What about the past ten years?
Leaving high school marching band. Standing out on the field for Senior Day and being recognized. Not only was I in the marching band for all four years of high school, I was also a charter member of that band. I was there when the school first opened as a freshmen and was part of the beginning band program.

5. If you were asked to give a child a single piece of advice to guide them through life, what would you say?
Play a musical instrument and you will see the whole new light.

Long Day Off

Apparently when I am not selling tires, I am cleaning carpets. That is all I did today in the apartment. I borrowed my parent's carpet cleaner and proceded to clean the whole place. We had made some stains in the carpet over the past year I really wanted to see them gone. They were mostly from high traffic areas were we walk with our shoes on for a second before taking them off (mostly). There was also a small red wine stain were I had knocked over a glass that cleaner vac got up pretty well. It still seems strange that I worked in the house on my off day. After my day of cleaning, I took Hakeber to the car dealership to crunch some numbers. Find out on Friday which dealership she went too.

Holy Crap!

That's right fools! The site is back up. After the primary hard drive on my hosts server got fried, everything when down. Add that to the fact that Phat decided to take a small beach vacation right before it happened. Thus explaining why the heck I this place has been dead for the past week. Of course I didn't really have time to update cause I just got done working seven days in a row. God damn does that suck. I tell you if I don't get a raise from the district manager, I will be really pissed and ready to walk. Let's looks at the number folks. I am the top seller among all the other salesmen. I work often more than 40 hours a week. I am for all intents and purposes the assistant manager of the store, I just don't have keys. I am not talking like a huge raise either, I would probably settle for .25 and hour raise. Is that much? Well I enjoyed my day off....time to go to bed and prepare for tomorrow's work.

May Day Project Done

Check out the May Day Project I did!

May 16, 2003

Wow....it is Friday!

You know it as the Friday Five!

1. What drinking water do you prefer -- tap, bottle, purifier, etc.?
Purified if available most of the time. For a long while that was all that I drank. But I think the best tasting water I ever had was when I was like in elementary school in the middle summer drinking from the end of a water hose. That was some damn good water.

2. What are your favorite flavor of chips?
Spicy as they come. I want my forehead to sweat and my eyes to water while I am eating a bag of chips. That way I won't so much if they were a different flavor.

3. Of all the things you can cook, what dish do you like the most?
Taco Salad, hands down. I mean you can make it any way you want and is very jigh in protein. Not to mention you can make it really spicy so that your forehead sweats and your eyes water.

4. How do you have your eggs?
Scrambled, but I don't usually eat eggs that often.

5. Who was the last person who cooked you a meal? How did it turn out?
Well Papa John last cooked me a meal. I must say that he does make a good pizza but his chicken strip could use a little help. I can't wait for leftovers.

Server Problems

Well I would love to upload all the images I took over the weekend but apparently my host moved all NetPBM, ImagesMagick, and jhead. Cmon Phat, what is up wit dat?! Let me know when you are around so we can fix this problem.

I am not dead!

I am still here, I swear. Just kinda disappeared for a short while didn't I. I am still editing the pictures to the May Day project. Maybe by tonight I will finally have them up for everyone to view. It was a really busy weekend for me. Even though I had Saturday off to have fun, I had to work the day before and after that. I also worked a full day on Monday. I was dead dog tired after that. I guess that made Tuesday off even better. I dropped the truck off for service (needed to get the gasket between my manifold and exhaust changed) and then rode around with my dad all day. He is a clinical instructor, so we went riding to hospitals to check on his students. Well we ended up only visiting one site before he suggested we go fishing. We drove an extra hour north to a creek we know and had a great time. I had a couple bites but couldn't get them to stick. Dad on the other hand caught two nice Rainbow Trout. They will a little small to make a meal out of so he said he was gonna feed them to the family dog. He tells me Snoop really likes fish. Looks like it is time to head to work....it never stops.

Drunk Days

So I am drunk right now...that is plain to see. However, how did I get stuck with 4 other people in my apartment that I have to take care of. I am so glad I have tomorrow off from work. Right now I have put three people to sleep and waiting on another to finish praying to the porcelain god. BTW...it took me like 5 minute alone to type that last sentence. Mainly cause I couldn't spell porcelain right away. Hey, hooked on phonics worked for me. Alright back to the lone person in the bathroom. I guess technicall I should start the May Day Project now but I will start in the morning when I wake up.

Friday already?

That's right folks...time for another friday five!

1. Would you consider yourself an organized person? Why or why not?
Yes...I would even go as far as to say I have been freakishly organized at times in the past.

2. Do you keep some type of planner, organizer, calendar, etc. with you, and do you use it regularly?
Currently, there are two wall calendars hanging in the apartment right now. Both of which are currently being used. I have a Visor Edge that I have used in the past but recently neglected.

3. Would you say that your desk is organized right now?
I would say so. I know where everything is at this moment in time. Although you might think it is clustered in some places, it is just my way of filing the recent things. I have noticed recently that I do file things on my desk like that of my dad....which does kinda freak me out.

4. Do you alphabetize CDs, books, and DVDs, or does it not matter?
Of course! I have a CD collection of over 400 I think right now and they are mostly in order. I say mostly cause they are in two locations right now instead of being all together. DVD....they are in alphabetical order and categorical order. I mean you can't have the pornos mixed in with the regular movies can you?

5. What's the hardest thing you've ever had to organize?
The closest in the chapter room....bunch of secret stuff that if I told you about, I would have to kill you after. Let me just tell you that it is hard to organize years and years of stuff all by yourself in a locked room.

The Cable Guy

Cable guy came and he fixed our cable. The reason for the outage? The cable outside was disconnected. He said the technician[sic] who came out on Sunday should have figured that out and fixed the problem right then. This guy was cool though and most importantly quick. Glad to have the problem dealt with now cause I was tired of spending lots of money at Blockbuster.

Hump Day

The cable company has pissed me off way too much. I have been without digitial cable for a week now and maybe finally it will be resolved tomorrow. But it has been dealing with these people that has been the hardest part. Last weekend, Hakaber first called to report the outage and told her it was just because of the storms and just to wait it out. Well after the sunny weekend appearred and no cable, I called myself. They told me they would send someone out the next day to look at it and told me the work they had to do was outside and they didn't need to come in for anything. They were wrong. The tecnican came in the morning while I was asleep and left a note after I didn't answer the door. Called earlier in the week, said they still had an open ticket on my house and couldn't do anything. Called the other day and the same story (it is always fun when one hand doesn't know what the other one is doing) but this time I was told to call in the afternoon today to get a status. Then I figured it out when I called today. THe people actually know what they are doing during the day and not in the evening. Technican will be coming out tomorrow. The thing I probably hated the most was that everytime I called, I had to go through that stupid troubleshooting menu before I talked to a person. The worst part was that once I got a person, they asked me all the same questions again. Totally stupid people.

Maybe even read some of the stuff I was suppose to this last semester but just didn't have a chance to...nah. So tomorrow will be Hakeber's birthday. Can I say that my broke ass has no idea what to get her for her birthday yet. I mean what do you get for the girl who has everything. My parent's took her on a shopping spree at Kohl's....how can I compete? Guess I better think os soemthing and fast...

Shell Shock

chinese_msn.gifAbout time I update this site again. I think I was still in recovery from the final papers I had to do. I am better now. Add that to the fact I just got the Worms Triple Pack and have been playing Worms World Party all the time now. I loved Worms Armageddon but it just doesn't seem to work on Windows XP that well. I can't wait for Worms 3D. I think I will waste a lot of my hard earned money this summer on video games. While I was in a store I got play a little Superman. I mean it was just cool being able to fly around Metropolis. So right now the plans for summer are to eat, drink, sleep, work, and be merry. I need to make a lo of money this summer cause I now know that you don't make any during the winter. If I was better, I would have saved money during the summer so I could pay for more things like heat. I saw X2 yesterday and man that was a good movie. Halle Berry was looking good as usual, plus Alan Cumming's performance as Nightcrawler was right on target. I don't want to reveil too much about the movie but it definitely was better than the first one. The second one just makes you want a third one to come out with more characters like Gambit and more from Cyclops.
