Memorial Day weekend wrap-up

Well my weekend was both relaxing and hectic at the same time. Sound like fun? Not really. Let's see....to start off, I saw a couple bands perform at the Vanilla Coke On the Bricks Concert Series that started this weekend. I got to see John Mayer perform which I haven't in a while. Last time I saw him was when he was opening up for Guster a year back. A year later, John Mayer is now headlining on his own and also tour with Guster. It was nice to hear him once again, he is a good guitarist. On Saturday, I went to friends wedding. It was nice. There was a full meal so that was nice as well. Sunday, was solid day of rest.

This brings us to Today (aka Memorial Day). The mission was to spend the day with the parents and have a BBQ. First of all my Mom makes a crap load of food only for 5 people. We are talking 10 ears of grilled corn, BBQ pork ribs, whole smoked chicken, boiled potatoes, and two kinds of pasta salad. It was just insane. There was no way 10 people could have eaten all that food. Of course during the whole cooking, she was cleaning and doing way too much. You know the saying, "When Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy". Well they must have had my mother in mind when they made that. She was doing everything, telling everyone she was doing everything, but wouldn't let anyone help her. This lead to very stressful Memorial Day for me.

On top of that all, Hakeber was reading the newspaper and all I could see was bad news. A man get killed by Batman and a Rainbow. And all the articles about how we are heading into World War III. What most people don't realize is the fact that both World Wars developed over several year (we are talking a decades worth of time). I believe that it is only a matter of time before it is gonna happen. So I look to the Internet for a little bit of happiness and this and this was all I found.

Also....please buy some messenger bags (see below)
