I got laid off.
So today I got
terminated,
the can,
the boot,
laid off,
fired,
and whole mess of other terms which means I am now unemployed. It is not like
my job was all that involved. I basically just worked for a professor as
a lab assistant. My job had little description. I basically went through
each day doing what ever was needed to be done. The reason that I was told
to go home indefinitely...."I wasn't showing
progress
in my work and that I lacked
initiative".
What the hell does that mean?!?!? They told me
that I wasn't working at a fast enough pace. The part that made me mad
was the fact there was no warning...it was just like...turn in your keys
friday and have a nice life. So I proceeded to write them a semi-nasty
email asking them to me give me the real reason I was laid off. I have
feeling that they think I was downloading a bunch of programs on their
computers. The fact is that another programmer in the lab was doing that,
but I think they wanted to finger me. They wanted to fire me from the
beginning.
Bleh
...on will stuff that is more relevant to this site.
So I added a new column. In this column (on the right side) will be rambling from my friend Crankine. That of course is not his real name. He asked me if I would allow him to have a place that he could put anything he wanted to put in...I said ok with some hesitance. So go and check it out (it is on the right side).
